Age 11-14

  • Easy going interactive lessons - 20-30 min

  • Shaping hand position, body posture

  • Introductory to sight-reading skills,

  • Playing simple tunes, hands separately and later together

  • Basic music theory - included into piano lessons

  • First steps in developing listening skills - mood, tempo,

  • Home practice time with parents from 10min to start with. Then gradually extending to 20-30 min daily

  • First steps in playing in public at class concerts

  • Parents are required to be present at lessons

  • A small course about the parental role - self involvement, encouragement, happiness, fairness, firm discipline.

  • Learning how to practise at home

Adult group - age 15+

  • Length of the lesson - minimum 1 hour

  • Intermediate and higher level in piano and music theory  (approx. gr.5 to gr.8)

  • Regular ( at least 3 times a year) class concert activity

  • Taking part at local musical festivals

  • consider taking part at international music camps

  • Scales and arpeggios are absolutely compulsory

  • Continue polishing aural and sight-reading skills  

  • home practice recommended time (with parental support when possible) - from 1 hour (an absolute minimum!) to 3,4 hours for higher grades daily.

  • Requires a proper acoustic or at least good standard electric piano

  • Regular contact with parents is absolutely necessary

  • Improvisation, playing by ear, jazz, pop, rock and other alternative styles on demand

Piano Lessons

  • better to start working on exam grades(ABRSM). Not necessarily taking exams but strongly recommended

  • Regular ( at least 3 times a year) class concert activity

  • Taking part at local musical festivals

  • Music theory - start preparing and taking graded exams (ABRSM)  - included into piano lessons

  • Developing aural  skills

  • sight-reading, based on easy, fun pieces - 1 page a day  

  • home practice recommended time (with parental support) - from 1 hour daily. The session can be split by two of 30 min or 3 of 20 min.
